Description

Developed by Tim Peters of Peters Seed & Research in Riddle, Oregon.  These are small grapefruit-sized melons, bred for cold tolerance and early fruiting. These characteristics are also great for dry climates, allowing early fruiting before the real heat and dry of summer kicks in in Bendigo.

We’ve reselected from this diverse genepool for a netted, cantaloupe style musk melon, seeking earliness, dry tolerance, flavour, small seed cavity, and fragrance. Your nose will tell you when these are ready for picking. They also ‘slip’ from the vine when ripe, but eat them quickly for the ultimate melon experience.
