Tomato – Piennolo del Vesuvio ‘Porta Nolana Mercato’

This is a new accession of the red Piennolo del Vesuvio collected from a local market in Naples. While it does not have the ‘nipple’ end of the classical potato-leafed form, it retains all of the flavour, cooking qualities, productivity and storage life of its better known relative.  A fantastic new addition to our ‘winter storage’ pomodorino inverno tomatoes.
