A stable true-breeding cross between cabbage and komatsuna, we first grew this from a commercial seed packet 20 years ago, only for the seed to be discontinued. We found a new source, and have been growing it again ever since. Heat resistant and reluctant to bolt, the leaves and stems remain tender even when leaves are the size of dinner plates. Harvest the flowering stems at the bud stage for a better-than-broccolini experience. This is our standard cooking green through spring summer and autumn. Productive, rugged, tasty and tender.
