Broadbean – Muckleford Mauve

We re-selected this purple-seeded broadbean from a diverse genepool grown by our friend Andrew in Muckleford, which emerged from a hyper-diverse mass-crossedpopulation of around 80 varieties from local collections and the Australian Grains Genebank as part of the Central Victorian Landrace Breeding Project. Expect some variation in the seedcoat colour and other characteristics. We suggest growers continue to select for plants that do well in their local conditions.
