Tomato – Santorini

Description

Santorini is a bright red, flattened and slightly ribbed tomato of medium size and excellent table qualities. It produces prolifically in our Bendigo gardens. You won’t see this tomato in the shops or farmer’s markets despite its wonderful flavour. It has a thin skin making it a delight to eat, but it does not transport well. Said to be somewhat drought tolerant, on its Greek Island home it is grown without irrigation. Recommended.
